We decided this week to take a little break from the outward-looking review of the Internet to give you an inward-looking perspective on the four men who are the directors of the Internet Review Corporation (the non-profit entity that manages Akahele.org). We hope you’ll find this Q & A appealing, and we encourage you below to COMMENT your own answers back to us!
Paul Wehage: RedHotJazz is the best collection of classic Jazz on the web. Check out the Harry Reser clips for some really hot tunez.
Anthony DiPierro: Google Maps.
Judd Bagley: Pandora, which is the source for 99% of the new music I discover these days.
Paul Wehage: Um… EncyclopediaDramatica.com? No, wait… WorldCat for finding any book you could ever want!
Anthony DiPierro: Google Mail.
Gregory Kohs: The Google family of sites — while the dependence on one entity for e-mail, local maps, search, document storage, image storage, news alerts, and books is frightening; you have to admit that Google does all of these things very, very well.
Paul Wehage: I stopped watching TV about 5 years ago. I can see anything I want on the web, anyway. Why let people tell you what to watch?
Anthony DiPierro: Dora the Explorer (I’m “watching” it now).
Paul Wehage: A 1988 Renault 4. Actually, it’s the dog’s car, and he lets us drive it when he’s not using it.
Anthony DiPierro: A 1998 Honda Civic.
Judd Bagley: 2001 Honda Civic. Getting old but still refusing to give me a reason to replace it.
Gregory Kohs: 2007 Kia Rio.
Judd Bagley: Ferdinand Pecora, the incorruptible chief counsel of the Senate commission that investigated the causes of the Crash of 1929.
Gregory Kohs: Winston Churchill.
Judd Bagley: Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii. The place is like a drug, and I’m always plotting schemes to get more.
Gregory Kohs: Virgin Gorda in the BVI. Our honeymoon was cut short by 36 hours, due to my father-in-law’s heart attack and stroke. I’d like to return to reclaim those 36 hours, especially now that I’m better at sailing.
